Jessica Pullen
Director & Principal Planner
Jess is an experienced planner with a diverse background across rural, residential and infrastructure projects. She began her planning career preparing resource consents in the gold mining and dairy farming sectors, before relocating to Wellington where she expanded into residential developments, infrastructure projects and gained hands-on experience as a District Council planner.
In March 2020, Jess took the leap and founded Lookinglass Planning, which has since evolved into LG Consulting Limited. As principal planner, she combines strong technical capability with a practical, solutions-focused approach—ensuring every resource consent application is handled with clarity, logic and efficiency. Jess places a strong emphasis on maintaining positive working relationships with councils nationwide, helping to streamline the consent process for clients.
Jess has extensive experience preparing resource consents for multi-unit developments, single dwellings, subdivisions and a wide variety of residential projects. She also supports clients with regional consents, providing expert advice across land use, earthworks and rural activities. Her commitment remains firmly with her clients—offering honest guidance, setting realistic expectations and identifying alternative pathways when needed.
As the Director of LG Consulting, Jess continues to lead the team with a strong client-first mindset, ensuring the business delivers high-quality planning advice and well-prepared resource consent applications across New Zealand.
Selene Kane
Senior Planner
Selene is a highly experienced planner with over 7 years working in both the local government and private sector.
Completing a Bachelor of Environmental Management and Planning from Lincoln University, Selene moved to the West Coast where she gained valuable expertise working within Councils and Consultancies. After several years of hands-on experience over the hill, Selene relocated to Christchurch last year.
Originally from rural North Otago, Selene developed a strong work ethic and a deep connection to the land and environment from an early age. Outside of work, she enjoys a range of outdoor activities and exploring whenever possible.
Holly Luzak
Intermediate Planner
Holly is an experienced planner with around six years in the field, beginning her planning career at Christchurch City Council before moving into private consulting.
After completing a Bachelor of Science in Geography at the University of Canterbury, she naturally gravitated toward planning through her degree and early council work. Since then, she has developed strong expertise across Christchurch, Selwyn and Waimakariri, and is now expanding her experience into the Wellington and Auckland regions.
Born and based in Canterbury, Holly brings a grounded, client-focused approach to every project. She thrives on navigating complex planning challenges and finds real satisfaction in securing difficult consents — especially when clients are excited to see their projects finally move forward.
Outside of work, Holly enjoys reformer pilates, getting to the gym, reading, and exploring the outdoors with her dog Leia. One of her favourite parts about working at LG Consulting is the supportive team culture and being part of a business that Jess has built from the ground up.
